Are you an experienced Credit Controller and looking for that next step in your career? Do you have previous experience within a professional services environment? If YES Bell Cornwall would like to hear from you!
Our Birmingham based client is currently seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team. It is essential that you have proven experience of credit control and can communicate with a range of professionals from different industry sectors. You must have the confidence to chase any outstanding payments with the ability to update any in house software and Excel packages.
The successful candidate must have:
- Excellent communication skills
- High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
- Previous experience of account procedures, client ledgers and office accounts
- Experience of dealing with clients at all levels, including corporate entities and high net worth individuals
- Has the ability to demonstrate experience of working in a credit control department in a busy environment
- Possess a good understanding of Excel, Word and Financial reports/accounting software
You must be a team player with a flexible approach; a self-starter who is pro-active and can set and achieve goals with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Some of your duties include:
- Ensuring that debts are paid in a timely manner
- Chase overdue invoices by telephone and email
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
- Provide accurate advice on billing queries
- Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
- Send out monthly client statements/letters
- Undertake account reconciliations as required

Our Birmingham based legal Client is seeking a candidate with Management Information experience, to join their finance team. This particular role requires Advanced Excel skills, due to the use of the companies financial database package, and the need to manipulate and produce spread sheets.
Some of your duties will include;
-Providing Internal Analysis of Management.
-Assisting of Management Information.
-Ensuring that office files are kept up to date and good working relationships are maintained with owners and contributors.
-Maintaining client charge rates on the financial database.
-General administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with previous experience in a Management Information role.
