Bellcornwall are excited to be recruiting for a Buyer, Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of luxury domestic furniture looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to their newly formed Commercial Team.

You will need a minimum of three years international buying/sourcing experience, for direct product, which includes the construction and evaluation of complex tenders and a good understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Your background should include experience that covers make versus buy, cost reduction programmes, supplier negotiation, project management, along with product sourcing preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry.

Your responsibilities

• Will include adhering to the tendering schedule and ensuring a timely resolution to tenders and contractual terms. You will also be involved in new product development and the timely delivery from concept to manufacture.
• You should be self-motivated, possess an outstanding commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and a proven track record and be able to work to a tight schedule. You should be computer literate together with miscrosoft; word, Excel and Powerpoint and have an excellent commercial ability.
• You should be CIP’s qualified working towards at least level 4 and possess a full driving licence. Part of the role will include visits to both UK and European suppliers, so a flexible approach is required.
