Record and Archiving Assistant (Warehouse based)
Here at Bell Cornwall Recruitment we are seeking a records and archiving assistant to work as part of the wider archiving team on behalf of one of our national corporate clients. The role will be based at one of their storage warehouses based in Bromsgrove
The role will consist of:
- Picking and reviewing archiving boxes, files and documents with a high level of accuracy
- Ensure documents are catalogued and made ready for transportation, or destruction, as required arranging the transportation of documents, files and boxes to offices and 3rd party suppliers ensuring all items are recorded on the relevant systems for audit purposes
- Manual handling of archive boxes and palletising or reboxing, as required
- Reviewing documents and separating out items for secure destruction
- Indexing and cataloguing documents on relevant systems
- Monitoring and ordering consumables and replenishing stocks in advance of requirements
- Identifying any Health and Safety issues/hazards, as well as any general maintenance or cleaning issues and report promptly
Due to the nature of this position you will be comfortable working in a warehouse environment. It is essential that you have excellent attention to detail due to the sensitive nature and the importance of the documents.
