My job at BCR?

At BCR, I manage the social media pages, filter through CVs, and generally do all the administrative jobs that the consultants are too busy to do.  I also always have gum, though I don’t get paid to do that.

What am I passionate about?

Literature! I am currently studying for a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and I spend most of my free time buried in books or hunched over my laptop working on my novel. I absolutely love my degree, and it’s a very bad idea to get me talking about it, because I’ll never shut up.

Why do I love what I do as a career?

I love managing the social media pages because I’m fascinated by marketing and algorithms, and it is a chance for me to practice different mediums of writing. I’m always looking for opportunities to use my skills in unconventional ways, and crafting social media posts has given me a chance to flex my creative muscles in a professional environment.

Typewriters, English breakfast tea, Italy, jazz music, films about gangsters, student discounts, trench coats, old British comedy, second-hand jewellery, a white wine spritzer, hole-in-the-wall bookshops, all things tattered and pre-loved.

I don’t love…

Having card games explained to me, pilot episodes, plug sockets in inconvenient places, fish, clubbing, being patronized, sports, wooden cutlery.
